After countless issues on an install one of our customers – a security installation company –
approached us for a solution, we suggested installing WhyRoute2 onsite along with a bespoke installation and network support package.
Within minutes of Whyroute being installed we detected the devices causing problems and that it was simply an IP conflict, there had been countless network scans as well as other tools ran but nothing had detected this.
After the WhyRoute setup team reported this to our customer they were then able to report this to their customers onsite IT. It turned out they had started the DHCP server giving out from 100-200 and the security company had given devices static IPs on the same range. The DHCP range was then changed and for the first time in months there have been no drop outs.
